Nassos is an active strategist and marketer. He studied Business Administration and worked for 25 years as an entrepreneur and executive for different firms and organizations all over Europe in various sales, marketing and management positions. Since 2010, he moved back to his home-city, Ioannina, running endustria[initiatives] and participating in various business and not-for-profit clusters and communities. He believes in the power of new ideas and supports start-ups and creativity. Thodoris Alexiou

Mr Big (!) at OBERON, Business and Communication Services. Editor of two books on Socio-Psychology & Marketing and on EU procedures. Awarded as a member of “Innovivors” team, under the auspices of EU and OECD. He is the President of the local Rotary Club and of the Gastronomy Club of Epirus. He plays guitar and loves Celtic music!
Yiannis Baboulias

Yiannis is a young journalist and New Media enthusiast, writing on topics ranging from politics and finance, to technology and it’s social impact. He holds a Media & Cultural Studies Degree from London College of Communications of the University of the Arts London. He has worked as a New Media editor for tech start – ups and fashion brands in London, and is currently doing an internship for the accomplished TV program New Folders (Νέοι Φάκελοι) for SKAI TV, while writing on a freelance basis for various other publications, and setting up a new magazine, co – owned with a team of 25+ journalists and bloggers.
Nikolaos Georgakis

Nikos holds a Master Degree in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) but his real passion for the last 15 years has been open source software and hardware. He has been using both to implement innovative technical solutions to a diverse set of research and commercial problems, serving as an independent consultant for an ever increasing number of clients worldwide. A true hacker by heart, he is always thinking outside the box enjoying to explore the details of programmable systems , taking apart software & hardware and stretching their capabilities.

Eva Goula

Eva holds a Diploma from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Architecture faculty. She works as a freelance architect and editor in chief at dzooz magazine. She has studied music and piano. She is engaged in theatre and design. She loves photography.

Michalis Kalamaras
Michalis Kalamaras, aka @eAnagnostis, is a copy-editor and proofreader. He has started the blog eAnagnostis.gr, the primary source of information on ebooks and digital publishing in Greek. He is writing on internet and technology for “MONO”, a new magazine, co – owned by a team of 26 journalists and bloggers. For readers, writers, publishers and booksellers alike, he sees ebooks as standing at the intersection of technology and liberal arts, where technology meets entertainment and design. Closely following Project Gutenberg and Internet Archive, he believes that a global digital library with universal access is today both an urgent need and a technically feasible task.

Pantelis is currently Lecturer at the Department of Economics at the University of Ioannina. Born and raised in Athens. He holds a BSc, an MSc and a PhD in Economics. His current research interests include political economics and fiscal policy in economies characterized by weak institutional framework, tax evasion and corruption. Fan of common sense and therefore rarely in accordance with the public opinion.
Dimitris Kostoulas

Dimitris (the one wearing the green t-shirt at the photo!) was born 25 years ago in Ioannina. He graduated from the Department of Civil & Structural Engineering Educators at School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (ASPETE) and started his career in Athens, employed as a designer and consultant by a big structural company. But his need of returning to his roots for a small break, brings him back to Ioannina in search of new opportunities. He likes travelling, meeting new people and especially new cultures. He loves going cycling and he is keen on learning everything new that has to do with technology.
Anastasios Koutlas

Holds a BSc in Computing Science from the University of Manchester and defended his PhD thesis a few years back in the fields of image processing and machine learning. Most of his time is spent working at his start up mainly involved in technology research and development projects. He is an open source enthusiast actively participating in local initiatives.
Aspa Lekka

Aspa was born in Ioannina in May 1989. Having studied Mathematics at University of Ioannina and also playing handball for a few years, spent a year abroad in the UK and China working as Marketing and PR specialist. Back to Greece for graduation the idea of getting involved with the organisation of TEDx Ioannina was a “To do” in the list.

Christos Liapatis

Chris was born in Ioannina in 1987. He holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration of the Technological Institute of Western Macedonia and works at the leader company in the insurance field in Greece. Meanwhile he is attending Human Resource Management and Organizational Analysis at the Kapodistrian University of Athens and looking forward to his Master abroad. His passion is mountain bike and swimming while he also enjoys attending the local football team and generally participating in the local community actions.

Angela Makris

Angela has made Greece her home after living ,working and studying in Sydney Australia. She has a Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Communications, a Graduate Diploma in Media Management and a Masters in Management with a major in Marketing. She is currently undertaking an Executive MBA in Tourism in Greece.
Her passion is communicating, whether it be for work, study, travel or socially . She has a wealth of experience in multicultural communication and social marketing, with these tools and a deep breath she moved to Ioannina Greece five years ago… and …she has decided to stay!
She has her own business and consults on several communication projects and is involved in various locally based community organisations as she firmly believes that it’s the people that have the power to change a place for the better.
Triantafyllos Michailidis

Triantafyllos, aged 32, lives in Ioannina. He is MSc Regional and Urban Planner, specialized in project management, development plannning and cross border cooperation. He has made publications concerning planning and european metropolises. He fancies social media and blogging. He is also a passionate dancer and traveler. Alkis Poulis has more than fifteen years of professional experience as Innovation Management Consultant. He worked as Junior, Senior and Overall Project Manager in more than 30 Research and Development Projects in areas of Applied and Industrial ICT Applications in e-Health, Culture, Automotive and Space. Alkis is passionate on 3D and Virtual Reality technologies for surgical trainers, biomechanics, scientific visualization and 4D cultural representations. Currently, he is a Freelance Innovation Management Consultant and Entrepreneur with activities in Greece and South Eastern Europe.
Orestis Theodorou

Orestis Theodorou holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering – Production Engineering and Management from the Technical University of Crete. He worked for four years as a Project Manager and Producer – Journalist at the Cretan TV channel ‘KYDON TV’. Since 2004 he has been actively involved in the education sector and has been working as an ICT teacher and Programme Director. Today he keeps his own technical office specializing in project management and providing business consultant services in the fields of production organization, operational research and strategic management.
